Q: How long does it take to receive a quote?
   
A: In spite of the fact that it takes some time to sort and prepare a quote, our goal is to complete the process the same day you bring in your items-ideally while you shop. However, during particularly heavy buying periods we may not be able to. It never hurts to call ahead to see how we are doing on our "buys".
   
Q: Do you accept all items?
   
A: NO! We wish we could, but we've found our customers insist on items that are clean, unstained, in style, free of rips, holes, etc. In addition, none of our customers are willing to buy equipment or toys with missing or broken parts. That is why we ask that all of your items meet our criteria.
   
Q: How much money can I expect for my accepted items?
   
A: The amount we're able to pay is based on condition, brand, season, inventory, supply and demand. The quote is not a "guess" or "lowball" number but is based on our experience. We offer a fair price that allows us a reasonable profit to stay in business.
   
Q: What happens to items you can't accept?
   
A: We will either return them to you, or if you wish, donate them to charity. Under no circumstances are unacceptable items put out for sale.
   
Q: How and when am I paid?
   
A: We will give you a check on the spot for the items we can accept or, if you prefer, you may trade for items purchased.
   
Q: Why are you different from traditional consignment stores?
   
A: We pay immediately because our customers like it and we can control the quality of the merchandise. Consignment stores have a much easier operation because they don't have to pay for inventory until after it sells and assume no risk on the items they accept. BUT, because we buy your items outright, we must be very careful that we can also resell them at a reasonable profit. That way, we can stay in business to offer our customers an alternative to high priced children's stores.

A: Just visit the New To You Kids contact page . We will be happy to answer any of your questions relating to buying or selling us your children's items. We are also interested in hearing any comments or suggestions you may have, as well as helpful hints we can share with our customers on how to make the resale experience more successful! Your opinion is important to us! You may also call either of our locations and allow our friendly staff to answer any of your questions.
